The command
# yum whatprovides */sqlite3.h
says that the file is provded by the RPM package "sqlite3-devel" -- is
this installed on your system so the Gem can be built against it? The
file that exists in your file-system may be a placeholder or something
provided by another package.
What sqlite* packages have you installed? ( yum list sqlite* )
I suggest this because I have the sqlite3 and it's devel package
install, but not the -doc one, so I get different 'locate' results but
it works for me.
Hope it helps, sorry if it doesn't; it was just a problem I came
across on this F12 system.
