+1 since I'm currently targeting UK/Ireland

BUT... as nice as it would be to have the servers in the same country
as my users, I haven't yet noticed a performance reason to do so.
Early days yet I suppose.

ALSO... if you want to make use of other services hosted on AWS (like,
perhaps, a MongoDB instance) then they'll also need to be in Europe or
you'll suffer decreased performance
