Hello, I want to share I gem I've been working on that I've found to be useful on Heroku: https://github.com/jbaudanza/rack-asset-compiler
I use this when I want to compile some static asset (such as CoffeeScript or Sass) and put the result into Varnish. It doesn't require any filesystem writes.
