We've developed a dead simple CMS add-on for Heroku and are currently Alpha Testing.
Is anyone interested in helping us out? Here's what the Pagelime CMS add-on does: You can tag ANY area in your views with a CSS class "cms-editable" and it becomes editable through Pagelime (www.pagelime.com). Example: <div id="my_content" class="cms-editable">hello world! i'm editable.</ div> Anything inside the DIV can now be edited through the CMS without impact to your code, git-repo, database, migrations, etc. It just works. Same goes for images, documents, etc. Everything the regular Pagelime CMS does, the add-on does as well. When is it useful: * When updating any piece of static content on your app (section titles, privacy policy, about pages, etc.) * When you don't want to release code just to update often changing text or an image * When you need to let non-tech folks update copy on your site How it works: * We provide a web app that acts as a visual editing interface on top of your site/app. * After you make changes, the CMS pushes the updated content to your app * Your app grabs the content, caches it, and updates the output of your views, and renders the new content. * It does NOT: change your views or git repo * It does NOT: require database migrations or tables Interested? Reply to this email and I'll get you started. Thanks to anyone who wants to test or offer feedback!
