Heroku Postgres will let you download a snapshot from the UI or connect directly with your choice of clients (e.g. psql). http://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/export-from-heroku-postgres The shared database addon is not intended for production applications, but you should be able to get your data out with the taps gem. http://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/taps Alternatively, the new shared database product is in public beta. If you're willing to trust your data to the beta service, you might want to give that a shot. It supports ingress connections and exports natively, like the dedicated Heroku Postgres service. http://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/heroku-shared-postgresql -- Jason Dixon DixonGroup Consulting http://www.dixongroup.net/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Heroku" group.
