Right now the SBT slug compiler includes the ivy cache. Check the size of your ~/.ivy/cache dir and you will see a ton of stuff. This is behavior we are considering changing since Play 2 copies everything over anyway. Can you file a support ticket so they can help you figure out a temporary workaround?
