Hi all, I'm in the planning stages of building hexayurt for burning
man and have been learning and having a lot of fun making small scale
models. I'm pretty excited about the yurt!

I'll be driving from Denver and most likely will be bringing the yurt
on the top of my Subaru Forester. I am planning to sandwich it with
plywood. I recently ran across some pictures of a yurt that used 1/2"
thick Tuff-R for the roof and 1" for the walls. This seemed to reduce
the volume of the yurt in "travel" mode quite a bit. Is this a
reasonable way to build it, or is 1/2" not a good idea even if just
for the roof?

Also, I'm a bit unsure re: the filament tape on the playa...do I need
to tape over it or is it fine on its own? lots of discussion about it
being very flamable.

thanks,

-Jeff
