I've spent the day jumping through the usual hoops to figure out what I want
to create... and I've settled on a 1.5x - height PIC based Hexayurt...
taking the standard 8'x4' ~ 1.5" panels and adding an extra two feet at the
bottom ( = 3 more panels).

I'll be stopping by Ashby Lumber Thursday morning on my way to work... just
to check out what they actually have. If they have the "Plus"
more-reinforced product at that price, it seems to be a good deal. If it's
not, sounds like Home Despondent might be a better price. And I'm way-open
to suggestions for other suppliers in the area.

As with most folks, I'm looking for help with getting the tape order handled
efficiently. To that end, I live in Berkeley and commute to San Jose every
couple days, going down the I-880 corridor. I don't know if anyone around
the Bay area stocks the 6" tape, or 5". For just sealing the edges, I'm
content with 4" tape, as I can do the edge-sealing more than carefully
enough. I do not plan on taping edges that will be inherently sealed when
taped to adjacent pieces and kept together with hinges created by taping
both sides.
