You can get away with just the 6" Bi-filament, but after I ran some fire tests with various edging tapes, I found the 6" bi-filament to be a spectacularly flammable. The foil tape seemed to prevent it's ignition entirely. So it's totally up to you, but fire is BAD. The boards themselves have some degree of flame resistance and have a hard time being set on fire. Flame doesn't spread much on its own. If you stick some bi-filament tape on the board and take a lighter to it, it spectacularly bursts into flames.
