Hello everyone,

As this is year is my first year for yurts and I've got a lot on my
plate, I don't have time for a swamp cooler. I've got my yurt all
setup and what not, looks great! Only problem is with having around
5-7 people in there relaxing for a while, it can start to get warm and
muggy during the day.

I've read a lot about ventilation and there's a ton of ideas thrown
around out there, what I'm thinking of doing is putting two pleated
furnace filters about the size of 12"x12"x1" on the outsides of two
opposing walls, and having the hole that is cut out for them in the
walls, able to fit back in during white outs and the such. Has anyone
tried this, and does it work well?

I know a lot of people are saying they want roof ventilation, but has
anyone does this easily and reliably? Again, I don't have a swamp
cooler and I'm not asking for that, I just want to keep the air fresh
in there when I have a larger amount of people inside.

I was also thinking of using some 1" or 2" PVC pipe to protrude
through the peak of the cone to allow for roof ventilation, has anyone
tried that as well?
