Phillip and Boyd at the Pigmalions had a picture-perfect Hexayurt this year. Phillip's a finish carpenter and made the cuts also without the use of any power tools. Well, one: he ripped a 30° cut into a 10' 2x4, which he used that as angled straightedge for all of the cuts.
They had over a dozen windows, all made with a 4" hole saw, that gave the Hexayurt a polka-dotted look. There were two "large" windows which were just three holes next to one another. The door had tape flanges to keep out the dust, two on the inside edges of the door frame, running vertically. The door itself had two more tape flanges, also running vertically, but on the outside. -Joshua -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hexayurt" group.
