They can be very large slabs with foam core and wire "skeleton" on them. You spray a few inches of concrete on the inside and outside. The foam slab core creates the thermal break for you. There are versions that don't use a steel frame, just interlocking wire. Plus, 4" foam slabs are EXPENSIVE. They are made from oil, nuff said. His foamed concrete core might have good enough insulation value. It gets COLD here in NM at high altitude.
