Hi all, I just want to introduce myself. I've been eavesdropping for a little while. I have been interested in building a hexayurt from the first time I saw them in Black Rock City. A couple of years ago I had the extreme pleasure of spending the night in one - the best, or only sleep I got that year.
I had hoped to build one this year, but I think I piled too many new experiences on my plate so far. I'll be painting one of the big panels around Center Camp. (Hopefully some of you will come by to say hello. I'll be working on the painting mostly before the gates open.) I'm also bringing my disabled son, Blaze, back to Burning Man following a 3 year hiatus. His last burn was just 8 months after the terrific accident that disabled him. I would love to help set up with any of you fine people to gain a little confidence and experience and maybe some fuel to get the rest of my camp to go the hexayurt way next year. I live in Ojai, CA, about 80 miles north of LA. Anyone in the LA area? Hope to hear from you!
