I'd make two cardboard models first: an hexayurt and an octayurt.
Both with the same kind of cardboard.
And probably with thin tape, or as thin as you can get, to make it
realistic.

Then jump on them.

The longer path is find then hire a structural engineer to do the (possibly
complex) maths.
Wouldn't even know where to start.
