is that an opaque window or a furnace filter. It looks REALLY nice, kinda of like the mid-evil glass windows with all the small panes of glass. You MIGHT be able to modify a furnace filter to have a couple of clear panes of glass. Think, cut out the filter in that section, use a small piece of glass in a wood frame, the exact size of the plastic squares, then gently screw into place between the plastic frame of the furnace filter.
By chance, do you know the brand of that furnace filter?
