Chita, I built a hexayurt with 2x4 frame and OSB sheathing. I used rolled roofing on the roof and painted it. It's lasted 3 years so far and is holding up well.
You might want to consider something similar using the H13 style plan. It could be used as a shed once your main home is repaired. (My hexayurt is now a milk barn and it's working great.)
