I am starting work on my first hexayurt. I would like to test it at Lakes of Fire, and then take it to Burning Man. My plan is to build this style of folding hexayurt:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itb3VG6zcdc For the permanent seams I want to use the Jacob Rodriguez method of Vinyl + Contact Cement. For the seams that have to come apart, I want to try Spiral's idea of heavy duty velcro. And, of course, I will bring a roll of bi-di filament tape just in case.. Does this sound like a good plan? Or a horrible plan? Anything I should consider? I got some foam core today so I can practice making some scale models and understand how the folding hexayurt works.
