Dear Hexayurt community,
We are a bunch of scientists who just discovered the hexayurt. To simply put it, we are amazed and impressed. *We would really love to use a hexayurt shelter for the BM event. The problem is that we do not have time to source materials, cut sheets, and do a test build for a hexayurt once we arrive in LA from NY. Then we depart on our long drive from LA to Burning Man.* We could really use your help as a community to help us find a hexayurt shelter we can use (and of course help build) for the event. We can also help cover any costs for materials if need be. My group consists of a diverse group of 3 scientists from a wide range of fields and hobbies. One is a cancer specialist, the other is an electrical engineer and I am a molecular and cellular pharmacologist. Just a very brief note about ourselves: one helps the cancer community determine the cause of cancer by using data gathered from patients, the other has helped turn military technology into devices that can be used to research solar system, and I help develop therapies to prevent and treat cancer. *We would love to help the advancement of the hexayurt for the future by providing new ideas, insight, and feedback for future modifications.* We would be honored to be a part of the hexayurt community and help out in anyway shape or form. We can help the community build their hexayurts. We can even help you think of ways to modify them to make them better. We are a creative group that loves to partake in anything that challenges us both mentally and physically. We all have a broad range of talents, skills, and expertise (beyond the science stuff). I am positive that we can be of great help. *We just need a hexayurt that can fit 3 slim scientists and our gear/food (we can prob fit our gear and food in the car if need be). *We can help to cover any costs associated with materials. As much as we would like to bring the hexayurt from the playa to NY it will not be feasible (too bad airlines have size restrictions). Please let us know if there is anything you can do for us.
