I have not tried the 3M product, but in comparing the specifications, there are at least two areas that would probably have a significant impact on the appropriateness of 3M FSK 3320 for hexayurt hinges and tabs
The adhesion factor (adhesion to steel) for the 3M tape is 81 oz/inch, while the adhesion (stickiness) of bi-directional tape is 91 oz/inch.
