When creating tape hinges so a yurt folds up accordion like, you're going to need to tape inside some corners. A hexayurt will have slightly less obnoxious corners than the four sided yurt I'm doing, but I think this will still help. The first attempt my girlfriend and I made was pretty miserable. The idea she had that helped so much was to do shorter lengths of tape (maybe two feet long), and, more importantly, to wrap the non-sticky side around the edge of a piece of cardboard. That way you can stick an end of the piece of cardboard into the corner, stick the other end in, and then use the cardboard to smooth one side of the tape out, and then the other.
