I see a lot of people freaking out about how much work there is to do at
the last minute, but as long as you have a way of transporting foam boards
from the place where you purchase them, tape ordered soon after you read
the message, you have plenty of time to do it.

One of the design intentions for hexayurts was that they can be built
quickly and easily in disaster zones, and this is really true. You can make
one *quickly* if you don't concern yourself with mitering the edges, making
sure it perfectly seals, and constructing a formal door and windows. There
are even some nice aspects of living in a poorly made hexayurt, in that you
get a little bit of ambient light and there is just enough ambient air for
an unvented commercial swamp cooler to get some dry air to circulate.

Don't give up! Just build a hexayurt. You can cut an H12s worth of boards
in less than an hour with nothing but a very sharp blade if you really want
to.

For moral support, I recommend trying to get a group together when you
build, even if it's just one other person helping you build your yurt.
