Hi Andrew,

I basically did an X,   front left to back right, front right to back left.  
The first time I also did a third over the gable, but found this unnecessary.  
If you have good deep rebar, and ratchet down the X, it doesn't budge, even in 
high wind.  I would suggest doing a single twist in the ratchet straps where 
they lay flat across expanses of roof, though, or they'll tend to slap/vibrate 
in high winds which is annoying when you're trying to sleep.
