Sigh...

I must make this brief.  

I have no problem whatsoever if list members choose to use the list for discussions of lutherie, Celtic history, going over the basics of cottoning for the thousandth time, the use of hurdy gurdies for door-stops, American politics...  etc.  I believe in plurality and freedom!  Yay!

I suggested an alternative to the list format for those of us who would like to be part of an internet community, but would like different kinds of freedom (see above) to deal with the messages as we choose.  It's obvious that the majority of list members are happy with the list as it is and (please be clear about this), that's just fine!  Thanks for participating in my little experiment.  I'm sorry that some of you have you noses out of joint at the suggestion of mine - it was not my intention to rattle yer cage.  So to speak.
