Tripoli powder is an abrasive, whereas teflon is used for its lubricity.  Perhaps Tripoli powder could smooth surfaces enough to make them slide better.
 
A word of caution regarding the teflon powder - if you smoke, clean your hands well first.  I worked with several people who got VERY ill because of the teflon residue on their hands.  After the company instituted the clean-hands-before-smoking policy, no one got sick again.  Teflon is PTFE, the F being Fluoro, which when heated gives off fluorine gas.  Very toxic (which is why bird owners should never cook with non-stick cookware).  Don't get those keys cooking on fast tunes!
