Hello,   It shouldn’t sound bad (the low B note against the C drone) because with just intonation those two drones (C & G) work out fine with a flattish B. (seventh and third respectively). Are you sure you are tuning the B tangent flat enough? For my ear it took me a while to get used to the sound of the just major third but now I like it very much. The just seventh sounds good also, much better to me than the equal tempered seventh.   Theo   Hello again, I was adjusting tangents to get just intonation, you know using drones/trompettes and thirds, fourths, fifths by ear. For the G string, low B key and G or D drone the sound was good (I had to turn the tangent a bit down), but when using the C drone, that B sounds terrible!. With the high B the effect is almost not heard, but with the low one is like having a drone out of tune, you can hear the oscillation a lot. Any tricks? I will follow the tuner again to see if I find a balance... Thanks a lot, Oscar.
