Hello, A Christmas tune that cali suggested for me to learn, out of the book of christmas tunes that Joanne Andrus edited, that is fairly easy and sounds nice is Branle de L'Official. It is a C drone. The book is chock full of christmas music and has them listed by C, G, and A drone. It is published by Cranky Dog Music p.o. box 24332 federal way, wa, 98093-1332,usa Jim Kruse

I know some tunes sound better on one instrument than another (Carol of the Bells is wonderful on hammered dulcimer); are there any that you find really magical on the hurdy gurdy? Tunes I like that I play now include: * medley: O Come O Come Emmanuel (slowly with middle G drone) / God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (medium speed with all 3 G drones) * What Child Is This? [Greensleeves] (C drone) * O Come, All Ye Faithful (adding a drone each repeat) * Auld Lang Syne (all 3 G and 1 C drones) Best regards, -Gary P. --------------------------------- Check out the all-new Yahoo!
