Hello,
since the german "drehleierwiki" turned out to be quite usefull, I
now opened a hurdy-gurdy wiki.
The advantage of an wiki is to enable everyone to contribute easily
and quick. Somehow thats also the disadvantage :-)
The wiki was set up to get information around quicker than possible
on normal webpages which always need someone to come arround to and
better in having information in store than a mailing list.
The hurdygurdywiki as it is is just a start which I hope will grow
from your contributions.
This wikiin the moment is a bit unusual as in some cases links to
content in another wiki, the german one. This is due to the fact that
it would not be really helpfull to keep for example two lists of
instrument makers synchronized. It seems to be better to share one.
I will go on to make those shared pages more bilingual where it is
helpfull. Some of the german content is understandable anyway.
Some pages, like the bibliography of publications now is split
between both wikis, the english books went to the english site, the
german stayed on the german.
So please have a look at it, complete missing informations, correct
my english, and enjoy the new
http://hurdygurdywiki.wiki-site.com/
(when bookmarking this site "index.php/Main_Page" is not needed)
kind regards
Simon
