Once you start dissecting, you lose the momentum and synergy of a
larger list, and the likely outcome is two or more stagnant lists,
instead of one vibrant but broad list.

It's not a HUGE list is it?
Once one starts splitting up things then it opens up a can of worms.
Are we
to have country-specific threads?
Although it's nice to know what's happening, I live in the UK and, as
such,
can't just hop over to a US gathering. Like wise, stuff going on in
the UK
isn't much use to those who don't live there, but it's nice to know
what's
happening regardless.
You could split things into dozens of subjects but isn't it nicer to
see
everything on the one page and then delete what you don't want?
I have yet to visit a restaurant where one had to ask for the lamb
menu or
the beef menu or even the veggie menu.
All of us should, I think, be interested in ALL things HG. It's an
interesting subject whether we participate in that particular section
or
not.
As long as we remember to change subject lines to reflect the actual
post
(yes, I have).
I find this list helpful, informative and, most of all, interesting
as,
regardless of ability, we all share the love of the HG and that makes
us a
community.
