Howdy Denise,

The essentials are: a good sleeping bag, a blanket or sheet to act as a
privacy screen (there are curtain rods across the length of the room to hang
it on), safety pins to hang the screen, shower gear, clothing you can layer
(you will be indoors most of the day but some of the rooms can get chilly), if
your hands get cold bring some knit/cloth gloves, and good shoes. The
bathrooms are on the same level as the dorm but it is a walk so you may want
to bring
 comfy sleeping clothes.

The good folks at the festival provide coffee/tea round the clock. The
food is exceptional, lots of good vegy food those who are not meativores, and
very helpful and happy people to help you out.

There are nightly jams for the hurdy gurdy and there is oldtime music
being played in the kitchen every chance they get. If you are a
multi-instrumentalist bring what ya got.

Also, there are separate small practice rooms that you can go and play
and practice in private or take lessons.

Finally, if you are driving, as it seems you might, and you are into
your own personal comfort bring something to sit on that is comfortable. The
offerings for seating there consist of metal chairs, the floor, or metal
chairs. I personally have become a fan of the collapsible keyboard bench from
Guitar Center.

This should fill in most of the gaps. Hope it helps.

   Scott
