Hello, In the Madwoman of Chaillot, by Jean Giraudoux, there is reference to an ancient mazurka called La Belle Polonaise. I found a title by that name(for piano) published by John R. Sweeney, M.B. in 1873.
Does anyone by any chance know if these may be related? The reason for the search is I have been requested by the local community theatre to play a tune on the hurdy gurdy to the lyrics in the play. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Jim
