Interesting........
Keyboard looks pretty awkward, though: that's one of the drawbacks of using a
single wheel. As I recollect, one of Leonardo's sketches for the viola
organista used a variation on that system, though with a concave harp below the
wheel; he crossed the sketch out and went with an endless bow instead.
I've toyed with the idea of a Geigenwerk myself from time to time; but the
technical challenges just seem too daunting.....
