Oh yes.
Maybe it is him:

In that piece the hg is -once again - eerie atmospheric element in the
background. Nice, though
... still waiting for something as scary and elevating and in-your-face
-performance like AC/DC did with bagpipes: Its A Long Way To The Top If Ya
Wanna Rock And Roll

Hi
I just wanted to mention that on the new Portishead CD, called 'Third' a
Hurdy Gurdy is used in one song.
Assuming there aren't that many Portishead fans out here, this may be a nice
to know.
The song is called "Magic Doors".
MAGIC DOORS
Barrow/Gibbons/Baggott
Rhodes Piano-John Baggott
Hurdy Gurdy-Stu Barker
Saxophone-Will Gregory
I've never heard of Stu Barker before (at least I don't remember ever seeing
his name mentioned somewhere), I'm kind of curious what his HG experience
is.
On this song he only plays the melody (I think on a D- instrument or the
high octave of a G-instrument) and I think the has been altered/remixed
using effects.
Best regards
Pieter
