Welcome Mitch, You sound like you are already an accomplished musician, so the HG should not be too difficult for you to learn! Thanks for introducing yourself! TerryD

I am Mitch Gordon; I know some of you from Over the Water this past September, and I look forward to seeing you again this September. My wife is Roz Reynolds, also on this newsgroup. She's played HG seriously for 6 or 7 years and attended Over the Water every year during that time; I took it up just 1-1/2 years ago (Roz taught me the basics)...I have a Phoenix, which I like a lot. I am a serious enthusiast of central France music, and have played two-row button accordion for about 5 years and have just taken up the French bagpipe (musette du centre). We were introduced to central France music by the Lark in the Morning (Mendocino, CA) crowd -- Penny Cloud, Deb Dawson, Alan Keith, Arrigo D'Albert, Ian Law, Vickie Yancy, Gary Breitbard -- and got completely hooked. Roz and I have been to France twice, including once attending the wonderful Les Brayauds/Fete du Volcaniques week-long festival. We play at farmers' markets as a duo, are in an acoustic band called Avocet with two friends, and run a French and Western European session one night a month at a local pub. We mostly play with me on box and Roz on HG, but we've also been playing HG duets lately, and even a bit of stuff with HG and hammered dulcimer (works great for Christmas music). I'm looking forward to reading everyone's postings, and posting a little myself occasionally. I have a cd copy of the recording, but the tracks are named Track01, Track02 and so on, and that doesn't help any with the tune names. I'd be much obliged if you could email me the track list (off-list, at [EMAIL PROTECTED]). Thanks, Mitch Gordon Guerneville, CA, US p.s.
