Hi Mitch, Our schedule and instructors are already set for this year.  I believe that Cali is the one who makes most of the dogs.  I will pass along your request and possibly if she/they are amenable we could add dog making to our classes at some point.  A while back they had a local one-day dog class where we learned to carve our own so I know they are happy to share the skill.  Don't hold your breath for this year, though, because I don't know when it could fit timewise. At the very least, they do have a handout on how to do it, and could probably provide you with some dog blanks to experiment with.  Thanks for the input.  We do read our feedback sheets and do our best to provide what people want. Joanne Alden and OTW staff - Any hope of a dog-carving class at OTW this year? Yes, I know it's in the books how to do it, but I've tried on my own and the results were terrible (no, I'm not one of the ones on this list who's ready to build his own gurdy from scratch, kit or no kit -- thank heavens for luthiers!!).
