Hello

I have seen a few messages from people saying they hadn't received my
original message as there was nothing in the subject field.

I'm now resending my message with a subject line, so hopefully everyone will
receive it now!

Diana

Hello,

I have just joined the mailing list, as I have recently bought a Terry
Warrington hurdy-gurdy, and am very interested to be part of any information
sharing.

I have always loved the sound and the look of the instrument, and am really
excited to have finally become the owner of a hurdy-gurdy! However, I am a
novice at playing the instrument, and would really like some advice about
where to find someone who could teach me how to play. I do play the piano
and organ, and also sing, so I have a long musical background, but feel I
need specialist teaching to start me off on the hurdy-gurdy. I would also
appreciate some advice on the state of the instrument I have bought, and
whether it needs any work done on it. I also would appreciate guidance on
tuning, as I have never had to tune an instrument before!

I would really appreciate any advice and information re the above - I live
in SE London, so any teachers would have to be in reasonable distance of
here.

Look forward to hearing back from anyone.

With thanks.

Diana (Stevenson)
