Hi!

I've had animal reactions to my music. My crickets chirp when I play my
hammered dulcimer. Our Bearded Collie howls when I play the upper register of
my concertina. The cats run away when I play the didgeridoo. But tonight beat
all - I was playing my hurdy gurdy about 9:30 in the evening and a screech owl
came and perched outside the window and sang back to me. Pretty neat!

For those unfamiliar with the screech owl, check out
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screech_owl - they make a wavering cry (kind of
like a musical saw). Listen to a sample at:
http://www.owlpages.com/sounds/Megascops-asio-2.mp3 and

Very best regards,

Rockford IL)
