Hello Hibernate Developers, We are running DB2 8.1 on z/OS and are required to use sequences for our primary key generation strategy. The current dialects for DB2 OS/390 don't support sequences because previous version of DB2 on z/OS (390) didn't have sequences.
this issue: http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-1984 has already been entered a while ago and this issue: http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-1754 although it is for iSeries works for us on DB2 8.1 on z/OS.
