Hi Tomasz,
Currently you need a JDk 5 and 6 to build Hibernate.
Have a look at this issue -
http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-4499
You have define the variable jdk16_home in your settings.xml file pointing
to the home directory
of a JDK 6.
