I havn't tried this driver. Have you run the test suite against it? The problem with the microsoft driver is not so much that hibernate's support for it is incomplete, so much as the fact that the driver itself does not support some usage that _every_other_ jdbc driver I've tried _does_ support. It wouldn't surprise me if you run into these problems even if you _don't_ use hibernate.
