Hello,

we have an application that is developed based on an old version of TopLink. One transaction within the application imports certain files into 5-7 tables accessing another 5-10 tables.

We want to get rid of TopLink. Originally, we planned to go EJB, but our tests (even with Local Entities) where not encouraging.

Hibernate seems to be a very interesting alternative. Since we currently do not have enough knowledge about Hibernate, we want to contract the job to somebody,

1) who is familiar with Hibernate
2) knows abouts basic performance optimizations and
3) doesn't rip of my jacket to tons of money ;-)
4) could start right now (because I get pressure from the management to make a formal decision for a new mapping tool)

We would start with that single transaction (which is fairly complex, so it's an excellent test), see how that works and then go on with more parts of the application.

It would be great, if everybody interested to do this, send me a short note. I will get in touch as soon as possible.

Also, if anyone has experience in migration from TopLink to Hibernate, I would be glad to hear about that.

Thanks,
Stephan
