David Channon has implemented support for Dialect-specific SQL functions in the HQL select clause. This means that we need to go though the dialects, one by one, and fill in the standard functions for that Dialect. David has already done this for Oracle. It would be very nice if some platform experts could help by submitting patches for the others. Thanks!
I'll be happy to submit patches for the MS SQL Server Dialect if you can let me know what's changing or what you need.
