Mike, the impression I'm getting among our users is that people are really
keen on the Spring Fwk, for showing how things _fit_together_. It gives
them a starting point for

"ok, how do I use all this cool POJO stuff to build an actual
_application_"

Now, from what I understand, I think the Spring seems great. But I also
think OS stuff is fantastic and it would be great to have a kind of
"reference architecture" for people to *start* with, before they start mix
and matching "bits" from different places (say, WW2 + Spring IoC).

Some of the hardest questions I get are "ok, so how do I use Hibernate in a
session bean" .... "ummm ... well .... it depends .... how do you _want_ to
use it?"

heh

peas...

Joseph - where is the code? No code, no idea - sorry.

Jason - sounds like an interesting idea, but could we focus on getting WW2
/
XW finished and released first? :)

Also the goals of the framework (?) sound too broad. It looks like a
collection of Open Source tools to me, albeit a good one - indeed these are
the basis of Atlassian apps. But I'm not sure what you would do, besides
build an app showing how these can be used together? Or did I get the wrong
end of the stick?

More thought needed I think.
