Mao, sorry to seem so definitive, but anything java/swing based on a less than 500 Mhz PC, 128MBI agree that it's not really that slow, but it feels slow when the application is a heavyweight client side app that people often open and close all the time. And the majority of the time is spent doing the cglib stuff... but now I have optimized hibernate to load in 5 seconds, but it's still slow... on our slow PII 233Mhz computers that this company refuses to upgrade :-( Can you believe half our users are still using Windows95?
RAM will be slow as molasses. Better try to use web based tecnology, and if you need something
swing look alike and a rich interface maybe you should have a look at echo (www.nextapp.com).
