All, Earlier I submitted a patch to add a Criteria.count() method. In further testing, I realized it did not work and play well with limit queries. I fixed this problem and added a test case (to FumTest, for lack of a better idea) to prove that it works. I noticed that all the test cases pass (thanks whomever fixed the other ones). I'll resubmit my corrected patch in JIRA.
It didn't seem like my previous post got any response from any committers. Was there something wrong with it, or did it just get lost in the shuffle? It seems like there are a lot of people who need this method, but if my approach is way off somehow, please let me know.
