Yes, but xdoclet 1.2b3 has xdoclet 1.2b4 in its jar filenames!


However, I'm all for filename versioning since there's nothing worse than trying to figure out which versions your tools are in big projects with hundreds of jars.

It doesn't have to mean CVS problems, however. You can't have a good release strategy without proper tagging of your repository.

That's good, because they're wrong sometimes ;-) (dom4j-1.4 has 1.3 on it's manifest)
I'm a +1 on version in filenames. It would have reduce some cglib mistakes of the rc1.
