This is clearly not what the patch does. I attached it after imoplementing
it wo reading that much the bug. I'll check that with Gavin on what to do
about that.

FYI
the patch allow exception raise when a null component is set when
not-null="true". This is the same behavior as <column not-null="true">
provides.
