I agree with that, my problem is really very pragmatic: Suppose I have a mapping for my Oracle and one for my PostgreSQL database, so I usually have two Hibernate XML files and can switch easily (the usecase here is vendor types/SQL in mapping). How easily can I have two sets of annotations and switch between them? I think that this is really one of the major features, not a side effect. -- Christian Bauer [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.hibernate.org/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
