I agree with that, my problem is really very pragmatic: Suppose I have a
mapping for my Oracle and one for my PostgreSQL database, so I usually
have two Hibernate XML files and can switch easily (the usecase here is
vendor types/SQL in mapping). How easily can I have two sets of
annotations and switch between them? I think that this is really one of
the major features, not a side effect.
