Ok, next time i will ask "is there a way to get the length property from the mapping file using the ClassMetadata... or exists an easy way to get the length of a property?" at forum and "do you have any interest in this patch?" to list :D
Thanx anyway. I found the way using configuration, but I
prefered to use my litle silly patch (less work to do). But is always cool to know that are many ways to get the same thing. And I hope I can provide useful patchs in the future.

is there a way to get the length property from the mapping file using the ClassMetadata?
I needed that but I haven't found a way, so I wrote a patch against 2.1.6 that adds a getLength(String property_name) to classMetadata.
So I ask you: do you have any interest in this patch? If yes, I send it to the list. or exists an easy way to get the length of a property?
