Hi,
I was wondering weather it's a good idea to make a patch to cache the generated classes by hibernate. This, to reduce startup time even more.
Let me know, if I should try to whip something up
I did a quick try last time i looked into improving the startup time.
My last conclusion was that the time used on generating classes was replaced with loading classes...
but I did not follow it through - so you are welcome to try see if you can make it work.
The cglib guys added some flag to their library to enable saving/reading the classes....
