Thanks for listening to my rants. This project from a users prospective has been the hardest to follow since I can not have
email sent to me as the list changes.
There is a post notification feature on our forum, enable it. Please stop complaining, we need the forum to help you guys, everything
else is
not usable.
We (users) need the mailinglist/nntp forum to help "you guys" with our feedback.
Without the users, hibernate would be nothing.
Thus, serve at least the minimal needs of your users.
(I've spend more than 10 years on usenet, I know what it is and how it works. No details please, we had this discussion before.)
You personal rating is irrelevant in context of an open-source collaborative project.
You should simply provide the resources which users are familar with.
It is more than arrogant to _force_ users into a proprietary communication system to get support.
EOD
and you are rude, too.I think you might want to reconsider the perspective of the phrase "you are rude".
[please write within context. this makes reconsideration easier.]
"EOD" = End Of Discussion, right?
this (especially in conjunction with forcing users to use a proprietary communication system ) is rude.
Telling people what they should/should not do sure seems awfully rude to me!
This is not rude.
This is gently.
I just show jboss how arrogant and rude they behave.
So are you volunteering to setup/host/administer the NNTP server?
No need.
The quick solution:
Setup a mailing-list and gate it via gmane [which is not the most professional solution, but it works and host many open-source mailinglists]
-
The fine solution:
Jboss has enouth projects to setup and maintain an nntp host.
The excellent solution:
Possibly the can use and work on apache james.
and intergrate it to their products.
you understand the differencen between "acting to eliminate a deficit" and behaving arrogant and rude whilst rejecting valid complaints?
[...] this sourceforge mailinglists are really a joke.
